I just wanted to post a picture of our Christmas breakfast. A lovely cup of coffee with cream, and some holiday spiced donuts with chocolate frosting. These were on plan, and had a wonderful, warm cinnamon and nutmeg flavor. And mixed with the chocolate frosting, they had a divine, holiday taste! The spices can easily be changed if you want a different flavor. Maybe for some time other than the holidays. The texture was great. One of my favorite recipes that I've used so far. I used Pearl's quick Icing for Cake from the dessert chapter of THM, and I made the donuts from this recipe (using some stevia to taste instead of honey): www.roostblog.com/roost/cinnamon-roll-almond-flour-donuts.html* I did not use the cinnamon date frosting on this page. The dates would make this a crossover meal.

I love all your photos Emily. Do you have an extra great, big girl camera? I wonder if that makes a difference. I just have a snap camera but think I should get a big girl camera one day so hopefully my photos and look like yours sometime. Hopefull some of these will end up on our pinterest site. I'll try to get around to doing that if somebody else doesn't.

Normally, I use my iPhone to take the pictures. My dad took this one though with his big camera. He's an amazing photographer, and this was just a quick pic that he did for me. =)

Did you cook these in your donut maker or the oven like the recipe calls for?

Your Dad certainly took a great picture there. I could stare at it for a long time.

Did you cook these in your donut maker or the oven like the recipe calls for? I made them in my donut maker, and baked them for closer to 5 minutes, I think.

I made these for breakfast this morning and...OH MY MY!! They were so surprisingly delish!! I mean, I didn't expect them to be bad at all...I just didn't expect them to be THAT good!!! =) I didn't have the chocolate to make the chocolate frosting, so I just made a basic cream cheese frosting. My hubby even gave me big smiles over them. Thanks so much for sharing!! These will def be a common treat in our house!!

Anyone find the recipe yet? I was hoping to make these for breakfast tomorrow. They look so good, and whatever I can make to make the whole family happy is always a plus!
