Ok, help me out, hormone experts!
When I am pregnant, my libido is through the roof. Seriously, my husband loooves when I am pregnant. Lol. However, as soon as the baby is born and I start breastfeeding, it totally disappears. I know that this is normal to some degree, but I hate having to force myself to engage for the entire 2 years that I'm breastfeeding...I manage to fake it til I make it, but no matter how much I try to physically and mentally prepare myself, I end up just wishing that we could hurry up and finish so that I can go to sleep. My husband is so sweet to try and make things romantic and to help me around the house so that I'm not exhausted by bedtime, and I so wish that I could really want intimacy the way that I do when I'm pregnant.
I prayed so hard with this last pregnancy that this wouldn't happen this time around, and it was better at first, but it's getting harder and harder now. And I even have a baby who sleeps through the night at 2 months, so I'm not nearly as tired as I was with all of the others.
I know that this is hormonal. The minute I stop breastfeeding, my libido returns. Is there anything that I can do while I'm breastfeeding to give me more of a desire?
