Has anyone come up with a suitable comparison for the THM Whey Protein powder in Australia? Shipping is just too much to get it here. This one seems relatively similar but am not quite sure? It's very expensive in Aus! www.trueprotein.com.au/shop/whey-protein-concentrate What flavour is the THM one?

I'm a newbie here and have also been looking into oat fibre, Glucomannan & whey protein powders - aaaargh!! So many to have to search through. Everything in Australia seems to be sooo expensive & hard to source I found the whey protein isolate, 1kg, natural from True Protein for $50. Is it comparable to your THM powder?

Here is a site recommended to get ingredients in Australia aussiemamas.com.au/I have also heard that iherb has good international shipping rates, they carry many on plan items, it might be worth taking a look.

There are some great articles in the Tips, Tweaks, Pics, and Hints forum about protein, just search for protein in the top right search bar and you should see quite a few by Serene about what you are looking for and why. First is you want an isolate, then sweetened with on plan sweetener or not at all. That seems to weed out most things you don't want and we can help you fine tune from there.

Hiya, I have just posted this on facebook and it seems to have been popular so I thought I would post it here. It is a series of posts I have written at bubblews on doing THM on a very tight budget (which is the situation we are in) There are links to the posts at the bottom - I really hope it helps someone get started and stick to the THM plan as it is worth it xx I have been struggling with staying on plan purely due to budget and financial problems and so I set myself a challenge. I decided to go through the whole THM book and find the 7 breakfast, 7 dinner, 7 lunch and 7 veggie side meals that were the cheapest to make and required no special ingredients. As I write at bubblews and don't have a blog, I decided to post them there if anyone would like a look? I wrote - I have been trying to follow the THM plan for a while now but having a very limited budget has made it very difficult for me to work out how to do it. I finally sat down this week with the book and went through every single recipe and worked out which ones would be the cheapest for me to make for my family. My aim was to find 7 breakfast, 7 lunch and 7 dinner recipes that were budget friendly, had a minimum of ingredients to make them simple and didn’t require any ‘special’ ingredients. I have written page numbers but no recipe and I don’t want to plagiarise the THM book. Underneath each recipe name I have written the ingredients needed for one adult portion. This is to help you to compile a shopping list – just work out how many adult sized portions you would need depending on how much you, your husband and your children eat and then you can write your shopping list accordingly. If you wanted you could have a different recipe every day for a week or you could repeat some. On a week when the budget it very tight you could look though and do some recipes more than others or some not at all – just work out which items are the very cheapest for you to buy or that you already have available and then go with those recipes. It might not be as interesting as eating something different every day, but sometimes need outweighs want.
