Hi I made pudding / custard today with guar gum since I had run out of gluccie. And it worked really well. Not quite as thick but good enough for me. I'm not too fussy. And the guar gum is soooo much cheaper. So what is/are the problem/a with using guar gum and why couldnt I just use it instead for pudding frappa etc ... Hope someone will enlighten me. Thanks.

Guar gum is much like xanthan gum. You can use it in small amounts on plan. It does have more carbs than gluccie though.
