OK so I want an S-meal and I put this together. Tell me if Im on the right track because according to my food logger its too high in carbs.
1c Egg Beaters 1/2 Avocado 1tbsp Salsa 1/8c shredded mexican cheese sprinkle of mexican spices
So on the surface it all looks good to me, but when I added it to my caloriecount website it says there are 19g of Carbs, 31g of protein and 16g of fat. Does that sound right? What am I doing wrong?

How much fiber? Does the salsa have sugar? Are there carbs from the mexican spices? In the cheese from the spices?

I can't see why this is not a nice S meal. Of course like Blessed said, make sure no sugar is in it. I would eat this for an S but its not a deep S, just a regular in my opinion.

according to the food counting website, the egg beaters have 4.1g of carbs and the avocados have 7.5g, and the salsa has 7g. Perhaps if i make my own salsa it might help. I guess i didnt think about sugar in the salsa. Man its so easy to derail when you have to buy supplies from walmart. =/

We really don't need to worry about the carbs in veggies (avocado & salsa being used as a veggie here) so you should be fine as long as the salsa didn't get it's carbs from sugar.

Let me clarify, there are certain veggies we do count the carbs (sweet potato, etc) but most veggies we don't. Just focus on wether the veggies fall into the S or E category. It makes it easier than worrying about numbers.

Yes, your meal looks on track to me as well, the only sugar you need to watch for in the salsa is added sugar, most won't have it, but it is always good to check ingredients I would enjoy the freedom of not counting while you get the plan down. 7 grams in a tbsp of salsa doesn't even sound right, I think the website amounts may not be correct. I just checked the one I have (Costco) and even without subtracting fiber it is 2 carbs for 2 tbsps. So unless it was like a peach mango salsa that doesn't make sense.

Oh to get your metabolism running and give you that shift (yes after three hours) you would want at least a whole sweet potato or some other carb source, that is really too low for an E
