Is water kefir on plan? I received some from a friend of mine and wanted to check before I used it. It is fermented with sugar and has a sweet taste to it. I have read elsewhere that the grains eat up all of the sugar??? If if is on plan, would it be an E or FP? I've been following THM for about 3 weeks with very minimal weight loss, so I don't want to do anything to jeopardize it!!! I only have about 15 to lose, so I'm trying to be patient. On the plus side, I feel great and my migraines are gone!

O.k. here is what I've found out. Water kefir can be on plan if it is very well fermented. (You are right the sugars would be 'eaten' up) A small glass would be a FP. But anymore than that would be an E. You do want to make sure nothing off plan is added after the fermenting, such as fruit juice or other off plan sugars or flavorings. Hope this helps!

Thank you so much for checking into this for me! I'm still trying to get the whole fermenting thing down. I have ACV fermenting right now...I KNOW that one's on plan Thanks again! Tanya
