I'm new to THM, and went to Trader Joe's today to pick up some sprouted bread for E meals. They had a number of different varieties, each with about 13 net carbs per slice, but there was one, Sprouted 7-grain bread (with a pink label) that has only 4 net carbs! I don't remember this bread being mentioned in the book, and am wondering if I've stumbled upon an S friendly bread? Here are the ingredients:
Sprouted wheat grains, oats, rye, barley, corn, rice, millet, wheat flour, water, honey, vital wheat gluten, yeast, molasses, salt.
So what do you think? Will this work for S?

p 84 of the book mentions this bread. There is one section where TJ's bread is considered an S helper, but not sure which type of bread. pg 91 I just finished this chapter yesterday, and thought I had read about it. My memory is not as good as it sounds. lol

That' the actual one we recommend for E. I know it comes out so low carb but it doesn't really makes sense since grains are being used even though they are sprouted. I just had an S Helper with that thismorning - so good. Somehow, we just don't trust that it could be outright S. I think you coudl use one piece pretty easily with your S meals though even from the onset of the plan. If you see the scale come to a complete halt, just pull it back from S meals and use only as E.

Yes, I wonder too if the stated carbs may be wrong. The ingredients of this particular bread don't seem that different than all the others they carry.
I may try it with an S meal though to see what happens. I sure would love a soft boiled egg on buttery toast!

So try one piece of the Trader Joes toast with butter and see how you do with an S meal.
