is hemp protein powder an equal substitute to whey protein?I'm nursing and my son is sensitive to the protein in cows milk. I bought organic hemp protein powder nutiva brand. It has 4g of fat and 12g of carbs. Can it be a fuel pull? Also, can you eat fuel pulls at anytime between meals/snack? I have a huge appetite

You would want to use that in an E setting since the carbs are so much higher than the 1 recommended for a whey isolate. Another option would be an egg white protein, that could be used in FP. Another protein source is a collagen hydrolysate, a gelatin that doesn't gel up. I would mention that the THM Premium Whey Isolate (Jay Robb too) are free of lactose if that helps You do want to try and eat enough in your meals and snacks to make it about three hours. There is some good info on that on page 118 (surrounding pages too).

Thanks! I tried jay Robb but my son is alergic to the protein in cows milk so lactose free is still not okay. I was bummed, I tried it and it was great but he got a belly ache. I am at my goal weight...could this hemp protein be a crossover? Again, thanks for your help!

Yes it would be a Crossover in S, but that is ok if you want at goal

How about NutriBiotics Rice protein, it has 1 net carb per scoop and 0 fat? and 12 grams protein. I'd like to use it since whey doesn't agree with me. Any advise? (I'm new and have so many questions)

NutriBiotics brown rice (it's sprouted) is on plan, is that the same one? Here is a great note by another admin: THM Allergen Free Protein Powder What To Look For In A Non-Dairy Protein Powder I'm sure this list does not cover all the options that will work with THM. It is a list of the ones we have found so far. If you are looking for a non-dairy PP and none of the ones listed will work for you here are a few guidelines to help you evaluate the many PP on the market. 1. Sugar, agave, fructose, dextrose, powdered honey, etc. FREE 2. Sweetener free or contains only on plan sweeteners. (most unflavored PP are sweetener free) 3. Soy free (soy lecithin is OK, if you are not soy allergic) 4. For grain or legume PP they need to be sprouted or isolates. 5. For the most part they need 1g net carbs max and 1g fat max. Her personal recommendation if you can't do whey Personal Note: IMO the best option for the Dairy Free/Casein Free person is to use a 50/50 blend of Unflavored Beef Gelatin/Egg White PP. From what I can tell so far in my research is that it comes the closest nutrition wise to the Gold Standard of the CFM Protein Isolates. It also blends and fluffs much like the CFM Protein Isolates. Here are some on plan egg white: Jay Robb Egg White NOW Foods Egg White Healthy N Fit Egg White
