I was wondering where kombucha fits in to the plan. I drink it fairly regularly and want to know where/if it fits in to the plan.
It's home brewed and I use green tea with rooibos and sugar (I do let it brew for at least 7-10 days to ensure all the sugar is eaten by the "mushroom". If that helps.

I'd be interested too, we also make kombucha from time to time. The sugar's pretty much eaten away by the fermentation, so it should be pretty ok

I used to make this all the time, but my mushrooms are in storage right now. I got a bit freaked out when I started to do some Internet searches on its safety during pregnancy. I just couldn't get completely comfortable with it.

I figured Richeal but I was wondering where it would fit, like what I can and can't consume it with? Thank you

Pearl has answered this a few times over on the FB page. I believe she said it's more of an E drink, but could be consumed in small amounts in S. I suggest a longer ferment to make sure more of the sugar is converted.

Pearl answers this Q over on FB again today: Her response: Since it is brewed for a good long time it is okay but you still don't want to drink too much with S meals. It still contains some carbs. Keep it to 1/2 cup with S meals and you could have more with E meals.

Good to know. I usually don't have it with meals anyway. I have it in the middle of the afternoon so I'll treat it as an E and it will be all good. Thanks
