Is brown rice pasta or quinoa past allowed on the plan? I have searched for the answer to this and haven't found a clear answer. I don't understand if brown rice and quinoa are ok why the pasta wouldn't be? I mean I understand you can't gorge on it, but I read on another thread that suggested eating whole wheat pasta might be a better option than brown rice pasta??? I don't "get" that. Not having pasta EVER is one of the hardest things for me about this plan. I am trying really really hard to fall in love with quinoa but so far I have to make myself eat it. And my family doesn't like it either. I think I just don't know how to flavor it. But nevertheless, I would really love to have pasta at least occasionally.

Pastas are just higher glycemic than the whole cooked grain. BUT you could enjoy a small serving of brown rice or quinoa pasta as a side and still be on plan. It is recomended to keep it to a smaller portion. Remember, too, that you can use dreamfields pasta if you like. I enjoy spaghetti squash, myself, but use rice pasta very occasionally.
