1. How come lemons are considered FP, even though they're a fruit? Do they contain less fructose than apples or oranges?
2. Are coconut flakes okay in a deep S setting?
3. When you measure out your lean protein for an E or FP meal, are you supposed to use a scale or measuring cups?
4. Speaking of lean protein, how come I can only have 3 ounces in a FP meal? If it's extra lean, wouldn't it only have like two or three grams of fat?
5. How do y'all cope with someone trying to get you to eat something off plan? A lot of my friends do this at get-togethers when they notice I'm not touching the chips or cookies, but I'm kind of embarrased if I tell them I'm on a diet and trying to loose weight.
6. Is chana dahl even worth going into Wal-Mart for? I've never tasted it or heard anyone rave about it online, and Wal-Mart is the only place that might have it, but it's scary in there, man....

Great questions! I want to answer #6!!! Chana Dahl is great - especially if you like garbanzo beans meet split peas. Well, that is MY take on those beauties. Wally World? Eek! I would highly suggest Amazon. I buy them there, because it's the only place I can find them in my neck of the woods AND I don't have to step foot into my town's Wal-Mart.

I'll go onto Amazon one of these days and maybe buy a bag or two.

1- lemons do have a fairly low glycemic index. 20, vs 35 for an apple or 78 for watermelon. 2- coconut is not allowed in deep S. 3- It would depend on if you are looking for, as an example, 3oz (scale) or 1/2 cup (measuring cup). 4- Here's a quote from Pearl "We only suggest keeping meat to 3 oz or less in FP's because meat can up the calories quite a bit. Fuel Pulls are designed to be a big calorie change up so we had to set a limit on lean meats. We don't mind how much overall lean protein you have in them so long as the carbs fat and cals stay rather low." Read more: trimhealthymama.freeforums.net/thread/720/protein-fuel-pull#ixzz3SrQp8VUC5- I'd either say "I'm trying to get healthy and being carb conscious" or "I've given up sugar". If pressed tell them you feel so much better off of sugar, you don't want to go back. 6- It's really good in the soup from the book. Curry makes it delicious!

A deck of cards is supposed to be about the size of 3oz of cooked lean protein (for FP only as Blessed mentioned )
