God's morning ladies! I have another recipe for your analysis. When I have sourdough starter that needs to be used and I don't want to bake or simply toss the starter - I make loads of crackers! What do you think? 1 c. rye sourdough starter 1/3 c. coconut oil 1 c. rye flour 1 T. caraway seeds 2 tsp. onion powder 1 tsp. (real) salt + coarse salt for topping (recipe adapted from Cultures for Health website) It's hard to determine the exact amount of crackers, as I have never actually counted; however, I fill two 1/2 sheet pans full with this recipe. Is this an E or D for disaster? I really love your help - thank you so much!!! Stacy

This looks like a crossover to me.

I would just keep in mind that the E limit on fat is a teaspoon. It seems like it would be really hard to stay within this amount with a decent sized portion of crackers. Maybe you could decrease the oil? Of course crossovers are great for growing kids!

Thank you, ladies! I was afraid of crossover territory. Today I am testing them sans oil. I'll keep you posted!

The crackers worked without the oil, but they were super crunchy...almost hardtack. LOL. The flavor was still taste-y. I'll test them next time with a small amount of oil...maybe a tablespoon per batch.
