I left the rice out of my Balsamic Chicken when I saved my leftovers. Tonight I had just the chicken and sauce with cheese like an S meal. Was that OK or should I not do that in the future? Also, I have been wondering if I have been perverting the plan a little bit. I have a smaller family and so when I make recipes like Balsamic Chicken or Spaghetti Bolognese I dont use as much meat, but often follow the rest of the recipe for sauce. Are we getting too many carbs this way? Sometimes I don't know if I am rigid enough?

That S meal with the Balsamic Chicken sounds great. I love that recipe! And for the rest of your meals, you probably don't have to worry about having the extra sauce unless it contains a major carb source like a grain or something starchy. One thing you would want to keep in mind is how much fat goes into your sauces per serving when you're having an E meal. Other than that you should be just fine. =)

Oh yay! Thank you!! It turned the Balsamic into a Chicken Parmesan-like meal. Yum!

Oh no, you are fine. You don't have to eat oodles of meat, a little with your sauce if just fine.

Oh yay! I've been enjoying myself, but not losing anymore. So I am troubleshooting a little to try and figure it out. I'm nursing, so maybe Im over eating... Or too many nuts. Or could it be my home-grown blackberries have too many carbs?

I doubt your blackberries but how many in a day? How many nuts? Sometimes nursing hunger makes weight loss a little slower for some women and the body wants to hold on but I believe it will happen and you'll see another drop before too long.

Sometimes as much as a cup of blackberries in a day, always split up between as much as two-three different FP snacks thru out the day. Sometimes I get a little 'nutty'. maybe three or four tbsp pb in a day max? Or three handfuls almonds. Speaking of which, do I need to be careful not to have too much almond meal? Do I treat that like nuts? Thanks so much for the encouragement!

Yes, almond meal can so easily be overdone. Too much can cause weight stalls in some people. Notice "some". Many can do quite a few nut based snacks and meals and still lose. Others need to watch more carefully. Sometimes adding some oat fiber to replace some almond flour in muffins etc may really help cut down cals and a couple of carbs, but you need to tweak with those ratios to get a good tasting/mouth feel product. Too many nuts stall me for sure. I don't try to lose now of course but I know how foods affect my body.
You are nursing so you'll be hungry but 3-4 Tbs of peanut butter a day could definitely be an issue. I think that is quite a bit, but I remember being ravenous when I was nursing, so finding that balance between eating enough and losing while nursing can be an interesting journey. Do you have the peanut flour? I thought you did. Using that in place somehow could make a difference. I don't think those blackberries are an issue.

Terrific! It's the nuts. I bet! I'm glad to know. Yes! I actually used the peanut flour tonight in my Treat Squares to make them more PB tasting, without so much nut butter in the recipe. I used exclusively coconut oil to hold it all together. Maybe I'll see you tomorrow at the Brunch! Thank you for all your help. <3
