Hey everyone! Question about pasta. The book says to get Dreamfields pasta because it is higher in fiber, coming in at 5g fiber, 7 g protein and 41 g carb. It is also pretty expensive.
I have compared boxes with other whole wheat/high in fiber pastas that are cheaper (Ronzoni Healthy Harvest 100% whole wheat and Barilla Whole Grain). Ronzoni has 5g fiber, 9 g protein and 39 g carbs... so that would be even better than Dreamfields, right? And it is cheaper. Barilla is 6g fiber, 7g protein and 41 g carbs.
Can I go with the cheaper alternatives instead of Dreamfields or am I missing something?

Dreamfields pasta is supposed to undergo a special process thatbinds the carbs and makes them indigestible. Whole wheat pasta, if it is not sprouted, is not considered on plan.

What about Tinkyada Brown Rice Pasta? That's what we've used for years but we're about to go into THM soon and I'm trying to navigate things here. I'd prefer not to eat wheat pasta if possible but eventually we're going to get sick of zoodles and spaghetti squash.

If you are going to use the brown rice pasta, I would keep it to an occasional side in an E setting, watching to see if it stalls weight loss, if you need to lose. Konjac noodles are also a great option!
