Are there certain types of Whey protein isolate that is not a good idea to get? I just wondered because I found a place to get some, but I am guessing it wouldn't be the right kind. I can't easily order any online.
And I have the same problem about not easily ordering Glucomannan powder online. Is there anything that can safely be used on the plan as a substitute?

For the whey protein, the Swanson one recommended in the book has only 1 g of carbs per scoop, while most others have much more. Look for Jay Robb's which is supposed to be good too, and can be found in many stores (Kroger often carries it).
No suggestion on the glucomannan, as I've never seen it in a store. One thing to consider is that it comes in 1 lb bags, which should last quite a while and would not have to be ordered constantly, or could be shared with someone else.
