I have the book that I checked out from the library to make sure this is something that I will indeed need and stick with because I am CHEAP and do not want to purchase something that I will not use, I have not read everything and am trying to make my way through the entire book and don't want to wait to start. I understand where things are coming from, but I just don't feel like I completely understand things. I may be overthinking things. Here is my day:
Breakfast: coffee with 1 1/2 Tbsp half and half, 1/4 cup cottage cheese, and 3 eggs with salsa and GGMS I say S meal?
Lunch: 1/2 cup cottage cheese (1%), 5 strawberries, 1 cup broccoli with 1 tsp butter in the entire bowl of broccoli, large bowl of mixed greens salad, , with a bit of red wine vinegar on top along with about 1/2 cup of chicken salad. I would have put it as a E meal because of the carbs?
Here is what was in the chicken salad when I originally made it:
1.00 grams (1/4 tsp), Coarse Kosher Salt
0.75 cup (28g), Walnut Pieces
0.50 cup, Cream - Half and half
1 tablespoon Brown Sugar
8 Tbsp Light Mayonnaise
0.50 cup(s), Fat Free Plain Yogurt
1 cup, Reduced Sugar Craisins Dried Cranberries
1 tsp, Spices, celery seed
1 g, 1 tsp, Black Pepper (Ground)
1 lemon, Juice of 1 Lemon
3 stalk, Onions, young green, tops only
3.00 cup, Boneless Skinless Chicken Breast-Shredded
I do realize that the chicken was not completely on plan because of the brown sugar as well as the yogurt not being Greek. Is there anything else that would be completely off plan that I am not thinking of. The cranberries have 31g carbs with 10g fiber...does that mean 21g overall (I think that is what I read). I had this as a last serving that I needed to finish off. I am asking...say I made this with on plan ingredients, where would this meal fit in the s/e meals. Would it be made to fit at all? How would I make it an E or S meal? I feel like I am trying so hard to figure out the meals. Why not use the 1% or Fat free regular yogurt? Just a question to clear my brain. Great now that I really look through the recipe, is there any hope of it being on plan!
I really want to stick this out. I understand why the plan can be beneficial. I just have to figure it all out.
I appreciate any help and time. I am glad there is a place to ask questions!
