Mom is going to have gallbladder surgery sometime later this month (we will know the exact date tomorrow). We have seen it recommended to start on a low fat diet after gallbladder surgery, as your body will have a harder time processing fats without a gallbladder. Does anybody know this to be true or otherwise? Consequently, what would be the recommended approach to the plan?

Mom saw the surgeon yesterday, and he said that she can eat whatever she wants after the surgery, so that is good!

Aren't there some digestive enzymes that she can take to help digest the fat?
