I am allergic to wheat, eggs and dairy, so the whey protein powder is out for me. Should I look for a different kind of protein powder? Hemp or maca or something? I just worry about getting so much of one type of processed food. I feel like I need something to add to my coconut milk yogurt smoothies. They are really high in fat, but not protein. Any suggestions?
AND......My 5 month old baby is really sensitive to chocolate and coffee, so my sweet tooth isn't getting any love!!!

Some here are using a wonderful pea protein with only 1.5 grams of carbs. I'll have to check my messages to see the brand or someone might chime in with the name. If you buy whey protein isolate like the one we recommend in the book, that should not be a problem for a dairy allergy since there is absolutely no casein in the powder. So either would work probably.

I'm allergic to casein (milk protein), and seem to be doing well with Jarrow Goat Protein. Some people that are allergic to cow's can tolerate goat milk- have you tried that?

What is the most carb a protein powder can contain & stay on plan? I have several different kinds of vegan powders...

We would prefer that Protein Powders not go over 2 grams of carbs.
