HI, I make kefir with 1% milk that we get from our local dairy. It is not raw, but it is all we can do right now. Would that be considered S or E if I use it in smoothies. Made the best smoothie with about 1/4 cup kefir and some almond milk, a handful of strawberries, about 1 tsp of cocoa and abit of nunaturals. Boy was it great! just didn't know if it was S or E since it is 1%. Should I switch to skim perhaps? Thanks! Suzanne

1% milk kefir can be used for E as it's low fat. I believe it could also be used for S because kefir has only a few carbs.

Also if you strain the kefir and make kefir cheese that can be use for E too. I asked because we make our kefir and kefir cheese with 1% also. Kefir cheese is a great spread on crackers or on celery.
