I just had the most wonderful breakfast burrito. I was aiming for fuel pull, but wonder if it had too much protein along with my smoothie.
Smoothie: 10g
egg beaters: about 6g
Joseph's Lavash: 5g
2 low fat sausage links: 8.5g
(the burrito also had salt, onion pwd, spinach, and salsa, but those ingredients have no protein).
Was that too much protein for fuel pull?
(eta, I know in the book it says 3oz of chicken breast for fuel pull, and I just looked online and found that 3,5oz chicken is 30g protein. So I'm thinking I may be okay. ?)

I don't believe you can use too much protein. With FP meals you want to watch the fat and carb content. It is a high protein meal with low fat and low carbs, basically stripping away the 2 main fuels.

Thanks Corey! I could have sworn that THM mentioned cutting back on protein a bit during a fuel pull. I'll have to go check out the book to see. I do hope I'm wrong, though!

I looked in the book on the chapter on Fuel Pull weeks, and it mentioned not overdoing lean meat by keeping it below 3 grams. So does that apply to all proteins?

I wouldn't think so, because Greek Pudding is a Fuel Pull and it has a whopping 47 grams of protein!

Maybe it was 3 oz of meat?

We only suggest keeping meat to 3 oz or less in FP's because meat can up the calories quite a bit. Fuel Pulls are designed to be a big calorie change up so we had to set a limit on lean meats. We don't mind how much overall lean protein you have in them so long as the carbs fat and cals stay rather low.
