Hi, I've tried making the skinny chocolate 3 times now. I use Truvia. I do not have a coffee grinder and found the sweetener didn't distribute throughout the chocolate, leaving it quite bitter and awful. :-) I tried a 2nd time and mixed it really well and froze it immediately, and it was the same result. I then last night, for a 3rd time, ground up the Truvia in my little electric grinder. It did seem to grind it up somewhat, certainly, probably not as well as a coffee grinder. However, the result was the same. Is there any hope for my skinny chocolate if I do NOT own a coffee grinder?! Help!

I make mine with the nustevia and I think it's much better.

I don't have a coffee grinder yet either. I used Aldi's generic stevia and although it remained somewhat gritty the skinny chocolate still tasted good. The grittiness actually added to my enjoyment because it reminded me of the mouth feel of sugar granules! Maybe you need to add more sweetener?

I ground my trivia in the coffee grinder but could taste the granules. I kind of enjoyed the sweet crunch actually! Sweeten more if its too bitter. Maybe add in a mint flavor extract or some chopped nuts. Even a little peanut butter would be ok I would think.

I too didn't mind the gritty truvia granules (didn't like the truvia aftertaste though) - I am looking forward to making more with my nustevia I got last night!

I use nustevia to make mine, usually four shakes from the small holes, add coconut and almonds, and it's pretty good. I didn't like truvia in it.

I used nunaturals, found that the sweetness didn't distribute very well either (the stuff in the middle was more sweet, but still nice though. I'm gonna try and make it with chili pepper flakes tonight

I'm also going to freeze it in a super thin layer to try to even out the distribution of the sweetness.

So I doubled the recipe, added about 1/3tsp coarsely ground up chili flakes, and 1tsp-ish of maca powder. Result- YUMMY!! I've been re-inspired to take maca powder but don't really care for the flavour. It hides well in chocolatey things so thought I would try it out. Licked the spoon and it tastes fantastic (in my opinion) now just waiting for it to freeze so I can try it frozen. I have to admit, even though I love lindt chili chocolate, I didn't think of the flavour on my own, I was inspired from Serene's christmas chocolate post which reminded me of chili and chocolate = love for me

Okay, I just tasted it and it is not hot at all, I'm thinking all the "heat" has settled somewhere and I'm gonna end up with a really spicey piece
