Hi! So I'm wondering if there is a trick to the frappas. Once I made it and it was fluffy, creamy, cold and yum. Perfect. But Most of the other times it seems to separate into a creamy liquid and icy slushy bits? I don't know what makes it turn out one way or the other. Has anyone else had this and figured out the secret? Thanks!

I had trouble with mine doing that until I made sure it was blended to the slushy stage before adding the whey protein powder and then blending it some more, until it kind of fluffs up and turns a lighter color. Now my only trouble is that my old blender is taking a beating with the ice. I can't wait until the Vitamix I ordered comes in.

Mine works best if I add ice cubes one at a time with the blender running.

I'm about 50-50. But I think I'm just a little impatient to wait for the right result because when I use less ice it works wonderful (which means less processing time in my vitamix). What a difference when they fluff up though... Yummy!

i just run mine with the gluccie from the get go, ie i put in the liquid and gluccie and then as it blends i add any other ingredients (cocoa, salt, vanilla etc). then i stop the blender and add the protein and ice (1/2 the ice recommended) and it fluffs each time. maybe that will help someone?

My 13-year-old has pointed out that when we add even a small amount of cream to a beverage like this, it will separate out and be a bit odd. But when we don't add any cream, we don't have that happening. Odd!

One other thing I find helps is to zing around the ingredients for few minutes before adding in the ice and then the protein powder. This helps the glucomannan to thicken things up first and helps to keep things together.

I have had a few that were seperated and icy. I dont know why since I pre mixed a "Mocha Java Chiller" mix that already has the whey and gluccie, so it goes in with the almond milk/water. I have a GNV version of a Magic Bullet and so I cant drop ice cubes in. I whirl it for a minute and then stop it, take off the lid, add the ice cubes, blend again until it fluffs. Most of the time it works but sometimes I get the icee.
