I was wanting a warm breakfast drink this morning, but didn't see one in the book. I enjoy the big boy smoothie from time to time, but its just getting too cold out to enjoy! Any creations out there for winter? Thanks!

I don't know of a warm drink that counts as a full breakfast, but the Coconut Malted Nog recipe from the Morning Meals section of the book is a great, comforting and delicious warm drink. It's also very nutritious. You could pair it with something like a Muffin In A Mug, or some eggs or something for a soothing, delicious warm breakfast. Whey protein does not taste good in warm drinks. It gets lumpy and gritty. So I think it would be tricky to make a complete meal out of a warm drink. But the Coconut Malted Nog is a great breakfast drink. It is S. You could also make some THM style hot chocolate.

I've taken to makeing the fat stripping frappe (or whatever it's called), well, my version of it, which is slightly different in that I use all almond milk and half the ice called for. Anyway, I make that, and let it sit out to get defrosted... It's like a yogurt smoothie... not hot, but not icey...

What about the hot custard that was on the Facebook page? It's warm and comforting, and you could use more liquid or less gluc for more of a drink and less of a custard.

Usually, you can find the new recipes on FB by clicking on the Photos at the top of the page and you'll see a pic of it- I think Pearl and Serene are in the pic eating it together.

Thanks for the suggestions! I have searched and can't find the hot custard. Any help would be appreicated (even looked through the photos). I love the muffin in a mug, but would really love something that can help me out early as a drink only while I take care of my children before I am able to sit down and enjoy eating.

Tried the NIghty Night Hot Custard! My hubby made a batch too and added 1 tbsp of whey protein and almonds into the mix while blending. Is this an "S"? He added 1oz of almonds? This will be a great breakfast for cold mornings

I've tried two yummy warm options today -- it's cold here in WI!!
If you want a warm smoothie-like drink, you can mix the protein powder with a small amount of water (can be cold water) - like 1/8 - 1/4 cup, and stir well to get all the lumps out -- it will become kind of paste-like. Then add your other ingredients & stir all -- I used my protein powder 'paste', warm almond milk & some English Toffee flavored Sweet Leaf Stevia drops.
Also, I've really been enjoying the Nighty Night Hot Custard, mine comes out like a thick drink with no recipe modifications. Tonight I added 1 T cocoa powder and a dash of cinnamon for variety!
