Have you heard of the Tupler Technique? It seems to really work, just a big time commitment.

Yes! I borrowed the 'lose your mummy tummy' book from the library - but I was rather discouraged by the rigors of the work!! I want to flatten out these abs pretty bad though... Sometimes it seems that if I work them everyday they get pretty tight, but then just a week or so of not working out and I'm back where I started from.

Me too! I've only been able to complete four weeks of the program and my diastasis went from 7 cm to 2 cm, then I stopped doing it and my diastasis is about 5 cm. It's discouraging. I'd rather not look pregnant unless I really am! Lol. I'm hoping to get back to the program soon...it's just hard to stay committed to it when you have kids...

I don't have the book. I just have the DVD and she is very thorough in the explanation of the exercises and demonstrating each exercise on the DVD.

Check out Kathy Bowman's website called Aligned and Well. She talks about how body alignment causes diastisis and not having babies. She is not a big fan of Loose your mummy tummy since it doesn't correct alignment. She has a really good and easy excersize app for female pelvis alignment called, Down There for Women. I have the app and it really works for my occasional incontinence when I would jump or sneeze. I do have the mummy tummy book and DVD but just don't do it since it's so tedious. I only have small diastisis(less than a finger, even with 10 kids) so I really don't know if it works for that.

Thanks for the advice! I think I will check out Kathy Bowman's website! I know myself...I'm not going to do something that's really tedious and involved.

As I balance a tired baby on my lap, typing with one hand... I asked for a binder after #8 as born, then started doing crunches-NOT a good idea! I read through the mummy tummy book and got some helpful ino, so after a while I started weariong my binder again, mostly around the house or at night, and I started just getting on all 4s and trying to strengthen my abs. After #9 I wore my binder again and doing the same thing, and I think my muscles are only a finger apart? I'll have to look at Kathy Bowmans site!

I need to do something. I carry all my weight in my tummy. Add in the diastis and I look about 5 months PG. I actually got a belly rub the other day.
