Are you wanting an actual E snack, or just something to have close to an E meal? Baked apples or broiled grapefruit are some of my favorite E snacks. I like to have them with 0% Greek yogurt, sweetened with vanilla and stevia. And for snacks to have after/close to E meals, I use anything Fuel Pull. Any of the puddings, FP whey smoothies like a Frappa, or some cottage cheese or Greek yogurt... Those are my go-to's.
Thanks. I was looking for something as a snack more so. I am going to be doing a Fuel Cycle week and was stumped what to have as a "snack". Was totally in the mind set of "must be labeled E" but yes I forgot a FP would work right?
steffanie3: carmela there are many restaurant options if you are doing that while vacationing, sometimes bringing your own food is best and sometimes people you are visiting eat in such a way that you can eat easily out of what is offered, it just really depends

delightx8: Is there any reason why I shouldn't add a full scoop of whey protein to the Singing Canary if I want to use it as a snack or meal replacement? So happy to find something for adrenal fatigue!

rahel: Hello there,I have just started the plan and before that I did low carb-high protein. That diet allowed Oatbran, as the "only" fiber loaded carb. So now I still have a lot of that at home - is oat bran allowed to use? 100gs: Carbs:47g, Fiber:18g,Protein:14

steffanie3: You can use oatbran in an E setting Don't confuse it with oat fiber in some of the recipes on here though, common confusion.

steffanie3: For breads you want to stick with the E guidelines of whole grain sourdoughed or sprouted or whole grain rye.

asensenig: Does this include Ezekiel Bread? I have a THM recipe that calls for 7 cups wheat kernels. It does not mention that it needs to be sprouted or rye.

steffanie3: Ezekiel is sprouted. You could post your recipe up in a post so we could see it

asensenig: Following is the recipe I used for Ezekiel Bread. 7 cups Wheat Kernels; 1 cup Ezekiel Mix; 1000 mg Vitamin C Tablet; 5 cups warm water; 1/2 cup Honey; 1/2 cup butter, slightly softened); 2 T salt; 3 T Saf Yeast; 1/2 cup Vital Wheat Gluten. Ezekiel mix next

asensenig: Ezekiel Mix: 12 cups Barley; 12 cups Rye or Spelt; 4 cups dry lentils; 4 cups millet; 4 cups dry pinto beans; 3 cups dry soy beans. Another question. Can rye berries be used without sprouting?
Apr 14, 2014 11:18:50 GMT -5
steffanie3: I was thinking you meant the store bought Ezekiel which is sprouted. This recipe would not be on plan with the honey.

asensenig: ok. if you substituted another sweetner for the honey, would it be ok?
