Hi! Does anyone know offhand if I can use xanthum gum in a recipe that calls for gluconamman? I'm starting the plan on Monday but the gluconamman I ordered won't be here for a week and xanthum gum is readily available at a nearby store.
I'd appreciate any help! thanks!

You often can, but it may depend on the recipe.

In what sort of recipes would it make a difference?

I am also not positive for everything, but it seems many mamas have had success using them interchangeably.

If its just used as a thickener, like in a pudding or shake it should work o.k. There are some bread type recipes that they may not be interchangeable in.
