Lemon cheese mousse sounds so rich and fluffy. The zing must be wonderful. May I bother you again and ask for the recipe? I found a peanut butter mousse recipe that I'm planning on making today.

Well if you ever get up this way, you are welcome to stop in! What I'm having today of the lemon cheese mousse is leftover from the other day... tastes o.k. and fills you up, but not what the name says... I need to get more lemons and etc. and try again next week! Will post it then, assuming the third time works.

Starving yesterday! Added cream cheese to my tomato soup. Flaxbread (3 pieces w/ butter) to supper, with my 2 bowls of deer and cabbage. Ended up being bloated (guess I did overdo). And only had a grapefruit for my evening snack. A couple of the kids have had a stomach bug, so maybe I was confusing a bit of that for hunger. Last night and this morning, felt queasy, but back to normal, now, I think!

Thank you for being consistant with posting your menus! I know it takes effort. The few times I've done it i realized it would be nice to keep posting for accountability. It just takes dedication. I see elk and deer on your menu, I'd love to be able to eat those meats. Does your family hunt? Hunting is big in our area, but we've only been in this area for 1 1/2 years and my husband needs to get his license first. I'm discouraged abouty weight gain. It's only the last 6 weeks that its been climbing steady. I'm 31 weeks and I've gained 30 lbs. 15 of those lbs has been the last 6 weeks. I was so excited to see my weight gain as slow and steady. I've gained mostly in my thighs. That's where I'd lost so much before getting pregnant. I'm starting to doubt that I'll be able to lose quickly after baby is born. I'm not cheating often. Only weekends. I've spaced my meals a bit better and feeling hunger at snack and meal times, which I think is good. I like knowing I'm truly hungry. I'm not sure if I should have more than 1 E meal/day since I have this E.coli overgrowth/bladder infection. My midwife is concerned. I told her I'm doing all I can to consume enough water to keep my system flushed. Do you think drinking the singing canary would be especially helpful with this problem? I'm just not feeling very confident about my food and drinking. I want to be healthy, trim, and having a healthy baby, but if this infection doesn't improve I have quite a few risks to face. I'm trying to pray about this and see what God would have me do and make me aware of what I'm doing wrong and what I need to change. I suppose I've had my hopes set rather high and expected very different things for this pregnancy. I feel like I've let myself down and I'm confused and trying to see what my course of action should be. I'm not a quitter, but rather an optimist with high goals and expectations and when the outcome has changed I get a little lost. Thank you for allowing me to vent here. Not sure if I know anyone that I could talk to that would understand my situation especially regarding THM. It is warming up out here north of Winnipeg Manitoba so I hope to get outside and walking. Plus 10 Celsius today!

Susieq, yes, posting menus really helps me with consistency. I'm glad it's been a help to you, too! My son (16) got 2 deer this year, and we got some elk given to us! I wonder if you could find a hunter's association in your area? (This was something suggested in the book). I can feel how discouraged you must be with a large weight gain. The first thing that comes to my mind is blood sugar, (perhaps gestational diabetes?). I feel like for me, that's always most likely been the cause of my large weight gain with pregnancy. I know we all have to do the best we can, but I also feel pretty certain that if I cheated on weekends my sugars would become unbalanced. When they do, it seems to take awhile to get my body back in order again. Perhaps planning ahead for the weekend and maybe even cooking ahead, would free that weekend up to enjoy with your family and make staying on plan easier? Regardless, the healthy food you are eating is sure better for baby and you! Do you normally lose well while nursing? I know you have lost a bit before this pregnancy with T.H.M, so hopefully it will come off quickly. One thing that I have noticed with T.H.M. and being off sugar is a big difference in my pregnancy appetite. I used to feel SO hungry all the time. I remember eating till I literally felt stuffed and still feeling hungry! Of course maybe I waited too long to eat first. Eating every three hours, and eating the way I have been, I have noticed that my appetite, even with pregnancy has cut way down. Most of the time, even at supper I quit with 1 plate. Of course I don't punish myself and starve, if I am truly hungry, I eat more! But I have come to enjoy being able to stop, knowing I will eat again in 3 hours. That's something else. If I am a little late on my meal snack, I don't put the next one off. I figure maybe I occasionally crossover a little, although normally they still aren't but 2 1/2 hours apart. Eating less and more often, the terrible bloating I generally get with pregnancy in the evening is gone! I sleep so much better! And I don't wake up starving, either! Don't ignore the e-coli. (I know you are not.) Personally I wouldn't take a drug antibiotic myself, but I am pretty stubborn. But I would really hit some herbal ones! I would think the singing canary would be helpful with the vitamin C, but you probably need more on top of this... And don't beat yourself up! Do the best you can. Yes, think and try to find the answer for you... (It may be as simple as your weekends ) There's nothing wrong with high hopes, as long as we don't let them discourage us. It sounds like you are really trying. You haven't given up. So you'll get there! I hope you do get outside! There is nothing better to lift the spirit! I hope you are feeling better soon!
